Want to add a twist to your summer look? We are declaring this summer season, the floral print season. While neon and pastel hues have been hogging the spotlight, florals are about to shake up SS21 and they are here to stay. If you want to rock the floral print this season it doesn't have to be restricted to your floaty girly dresses, you can test drive florals on your jacket shoes, headwraps, skirts, handbags and everything in-between. Florals are not for the faint hearted though, so if you are brave enough to hop on to the bandwagon, be prepared to get inspired:

Ladies don’t be fooled, size does matter. Your body shape and print size play a critical role, when it comes to rocking florals. We all know that florals are available in a variety of sizes, ranging from small to large. The question is, which floral size works with a specific body shape? We will start with the good news.  A smallish floral print works for everyone. So here is the low down from whatwomenneed.com

  1. A medium floral print will work for slim people, some pear shapes, hourglass figures and athletic figures, depending on which area you want to flaunt
  2. Use a larger floral print where you want to make things seem larger. And a smaller floral print when you want something to appear smaller.
  3. Play with proportions and see what works best for you.

New to the flower scene? The minimalist approach is a sure-fire way, guaranteed to get you acquainted with florals and nail the trend. If you ain’t ready for a 'garden party' start with florals in small doses. No need to go full on. So, if you are willing to try floral print it can be on a teeny tiny part of your top, or skirt. You can also start small with a flowery accessories like a scarf, sneakers or earrings teamed with tonal outfit for that eye-catching finish.

TTorn between rocking your floral top and tights go for either one of the two. In short choose one piece only. The last thing you want, is to look like a bee or butterfly trap. If you want to dazzle and turn heads pair florals with a solid colour. You will definitely score extra style points if you wear the plain hue in coordinating or complementary tone. Florals come in array of colours and any solid colour in the print is fair game.

By now we guess you are head over heels in love with the trend  because this  print has struck the right code. Florals are fraught with their fair share of dangers but worry not we got you. If you still don’t have something that complements the floral print, go neutral. The winning neutral colours are black, grey, beige. This is a safe styling method when you are in doubt.

Florals are big news and we like to do things a little bit differently. Clashing two floral prints is a great way to look fashionably radical. The former print should be smaller than the other in the same or similar colour family. For instance, you want to wear big prints on top, so you better stick to small prints on your bottoms and vice versa. If you really want to take a stroll into the wild side, have some fun and mix print with like-toned or monochrome graphic prints such as spots or stripes. Then last but not least try putting on matching prints together. Better, play it safe and try on original patterns.

Flower power!! Whether you want to wear florals on your shoes, dresses or handbags, these tips will help you rock the trend your way. It’s a garden of delights as the fashion street will have a long, and romantic love affair with florals.
